Training program: «Digital Violence, Misinformation, and Gender-Based Hate Speech Online»

In March 2026, our online training program titled “Digital Violence, Misinformation, and Gender-Based Hate Speech Online” was successfully completed with strong participation from our member municipalities. The program was led by Dr. Stefanos Alevizos (Psychologist, Postdoctoral Researcher at Panteion University).

The aim of the program was to empower local government staff to recognize contemporary forms of digital gender-based violence, misinformation, and hate speech, understand the current European legal framework, utilize basic prevention and reporting tools, and design small local awareness and information actions.

  • Practical tools for protection and incident reporting
  • Creative and positive responses to hate speech
  • Designing local campaigns for a safe digital life
  • Co-creation workshop for local support lists and small awareness actions
