MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION
FOR THE PROMOTION OF THE INSTITUTION OF THE OLYMPIC TRUCE
This Memorandum of Understanding agreed in Athens on September 21, 2011 between:
1. The International Olympic Truce Centre , called then " IOTC " , located on the street 1A Lycabettus , Athens, duly represented by the Director , Dr . Constantine 's girlfriend .
2. European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation Amphictiony Twinned Cities and Regions of the Mediterranean then called " E.G.T.C » based on 29 Byron Street , Plaka, legally represented by the President , Mr. Dimitris Argianas .
3 . Hellenic Association of Olympic Winners , called then " HAOW " , located on the street Avenue 7 Abelokipoi Athens, legally represented by the President , Mr. George Sigalas .
Since the institution of the Olympic Truce is an integral and essential part of the Olympics in order to form the global celebration of humanity.
Because " IOTC " makes practice devotion of the Olympic movement in promoting the peaceful principles and is dedicated to creating the necessary framework support for meeting tisOlympiakis Truce and promoting a pagkosmiaskoultouras peace , especially during the current Olympic Games.
Because " E.G.T.C " expressing part of the local communities of the region of Euro - Mediterranean area , is dedicated to promoting an environment of lasting peace , livelihood security and sustainable development of the people within the cultural mainstream part of which is and the establishment of the institution of the Olympic Truce .
Because the " HAOW " whose members are part of the big Olympic family is dedicated to the promotion of Olympism and the Olympic spirit , promote the institution of the Olympic Truce and a global culture of peace , especially during the current Olympic Games.
The Parties agree on the value of deepening the institution of the Olympic Truce and to create a culture of peace among all peoples , especially the youth of Greece, Europe , the Mediterranean and around the world.
1. The E.G.T.C and HAOW accept that the International Olympic Truce Centre is most suitable for promoting the above objectives institution.
Two . The Parties mutually recognize the need to promote the Olympic Truce , cultural , sporting and general cultural development of young people at local, national and international level .
Three . Furthermore, the Parties wish to further develop existing relationships through the exchange of information and cooperation in matters relating to sport as part of the cultural mainstream.
That said, each party accedes to this Memorandum of Understanding , which sets out the framework of their cooperation, which is governed by the following principles .
A. Purpose of the Memorandum .
The IOTC will transfer all necessary information and material connection with international importance and purpose of the Olympic Truce , messages , its policy , communication , support and training provided .
The E.G.T.C and FDs , agree to cooperate with the IOTC to undertake joint events , conferences , exhibitions , workshops and meetings on the need for consolidation of the institution of the Olympic Truce in local communities in the cities of Greece, Europe and the Mediterranean, chosen by the public.
The E.G.T.C and Climbers Association bound to contend with any infrastructure available, but u shall represent their members on joint events and actions.
Therefore, the Parties shall establish a joint " Action Group " and will appoint their representatives for constant contact and promotion of common goals.
B. Funding of costs .
The events and the exchange of experts, groups, agents or other personnel will be funded according to the availability of budgetary resources each side , but also by identifying potential donors / sponsors. From that joint action by the Parties or their representatives did not enjoy any of pecuniary gain .
G. Dispute Resolution .
Any dispute concerning the application or interpretation of this Memorandum shall be resolved through friendly negotiation.
D. Duration - End
This MOU may be amended only by written agreement between the parties .
E. Final Provisions .
This Memorandum records mainly the parties' intentions . None of the Parties shall not be liable towards the other for any damages or losses ( whether directly or indirectly , purged or lost profits resulting from the negotiations , including costs and expenses of any kind )
This document is the complete Memorandum of cooperation between the parties and eliminates any prior oral or written agreement , declaration , negotiation , agreement , proposal or undertaking relating to the matters contained above.
This MOU may be extended to involve other actors , who either circumstance is then systematically involving the synergies of the other parties.
